AI Music Visualizer
Describe the look you want, and an AI assistant writes a visualizer that moves with your music, live, in Visibox.
An AI music visualizer turns sound into moving pictures, with AI doing some of the making. The name covers two different things. Some apps render a finished video of your song that you upload somewhere. Others use AI to help you build visuals that react to your music while you play it.
Visibox is the second kind. It’s built for live shows, so the visuals respond to the music in the room, not to a file you rendered last week.
How Visibox does it
Visibox has audio-reactive visualizers built in. They are generative clips that need no video files, written as ISF shaders or MilkDrop presets, and they can react to audio playing in Visibox, to another app on your computer like Spotify or your DAW, or to a mic or line input.
Connect an AI assistant and you can ask for a new one in plain words. Visibox has a built-in MCP server, and Settings > Connect to AI Tools links it to Claude, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI, VS Code, and other assistants. Say “a slow tunnel of neon rings that pulse with the bass,” and the assistant writes the shader. If the Visualizers Editor is open, you watch the code and the preview change as it works.
Then you play it like any other clip: trigger it from a footswitch, Stream Deck, or MIDI controller, next to your videos and backing tracks. The AI assistant section of the manual covers the setup.
What you need
- Visibox for Mac (macOS 12 or later) or Windows (10 or later).
- Visualizers and the AI assistant connection aren’t in the Free Plan. They come with Pro, from $83.88 a year, and every new activation gets them free for 14 days with no credit card.
- An AI assistant that supports MCP, like Claude Desktop, Cursor, or VS Code. Check each one’s own pricing.
Other ways to make visuals with AI
Visualizers are one way in. You can also have AI video tools generate clips for your songs, or have a chatbot write animation code that you capture as a video loop. Both guides below end with the clips playing in Visibox.
